The recording is from the trio’s new album ‘Brahms Schubert’

Today’s Video of the Day is a performance of Franz Schubert’s ‘Quintet D. 667’ by Trio Virtruvi, Hartmut Rohde and Nabil Shehata. The recording can be found on Trio Vitruvi’s second official album which was released on Orchid Classics earlier this month.

This new album of chamber works featuring piano brings together Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 3 in C minor, and Schubert’s much-loved Piano Quintet in A Major, ‘the Trout’, delivered by the Danish ensemble. Joined by the duo of violist Hartmut Rohde and double bassist Nabil Shehata, Trio Vitruvi’s second official album promises a delivery of works situated at the heart of 19th century chamber music.
