Barry Douglas and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra with conductor Olari Elts are due to embark on a UK tour on May 13 (with a concert in Newbury) that will see them perform a programme that includes music by Arvo Pärt, Rachmaninov, Thea Musgrave and Sibelius in six venues.

One of the works on the tour will be Rachmaninov's Third Piano Concerto (a work, incidentally, that Douglas has recorded with the Russian State Symphony Orchestra and Evgeny Svetlanov), and we are pleased to present a live performance of the first movement, recorded by the musicians in Estonia as part of their final preparations for the UK tour.
