The choir celebrates Byrd's 400th anniversary with this setting of Psalm 117
Video of the Day begins celebrations for 400th anniversary of William Byrd's death this year with VOCES8. ‘Praise our Lord' from Psalm 117 is scored for 6 voice parts and forms part of Byrd's 1611 collection of Psalms, Songs and Sonnets.
VOCES8 is currently on a month-long tour of the USA giving concerts and large education projects with the US arm of The VOCES8 Foundation.
The Byrd video was filmed from VOCES8’s own VOCES8 Centre (St Anne and St Agnus) where many of their education projects start life, and from where many LIVE From London’s are filmed.
