NPR Music's archive of Tiny Desk Concerts is well worth exploring, featuring as it does intimate performances by everyone from Yo-Yo Ma to Adele and T-Pain. But their most recent addition is a sensational performance by the Attacca Quartet of works by John Adams ('Toot Nipple' and 'Alligator Escalator' from John's Book of Alleged Dances), the Allegretto from Haydn's String Quartet in D, Op 76 No 5, and Michael Ippolito's Smoke Rings.
