The British countertenor launches his Bach album and documentary-recital with this video of the day

"Don't cry for me, for I go where music is born" (Bach)

Video of the Day celebrates the start of Lent with Bach's cantata 'Ich habe Genug', sung by countertenor Barnaby Smith whose album BACH is released today.

The release of Barnaby's album coincides with the new LIVE from London concert series by VOCES8. One of the online concerts, ‘Bach’, is a new documentary-concert to celebrate Barney’s album release, out today on 24 Feb – the content of which is a traverse through the liturgical year including Bach’s most famous arias for this period.

Alongside this, Bach B Minor Mass, filmed at St Bartholomew the Great with the Academy of Ancient Music, Carolyn Sampson, Iestyn Davies, Jeremy Budd and Matthew Brook – both under the baton of Barnaby Smith.

This four concert festival can be purchased now and will be viewable from 2-30 April 2023. Don't miss the chance to experience the best in classical music, filmed from beautiful venues in the heart of London, all in support of The VOCES8 Foundation’s extensive education and diversity work around the world. Whether you're a lifelong Bach fan or looking for an uplifting musical experience, LIVE From London Easter, has something for everyone this Spring.
