Includes excerpts of his latest recording - Bruckner's Ninth Symphony, with the Philharmonia Orchestra
Long-term musical partnerships have been one of the hall-marks of conductor Christoph von Dohnányi's career, not least his almost two decades as Music Director of the Cleveland Orchestra. During a recent visit to London, Gramophone's Editor and Publisher Martin Cullingford met Dohnányi, who has just celebrated his 86th birthday, to talk about this and about his approach to recording, for the latest Gramophone Podcast. It also contains excerpts from his new recording with the Philharmonia Orchestra, of Bruckner's Symphony No 9, released by Signum (you can read Gramophone's review of the recording here: Bruckner Symphony No 9)
