The Delius Society is marking the 150th anniversary of the birth of Frederick Delius with a weekend symposium held at the British Library in September.

The programme includes talks, a round-table discussion, live music and a screening of recent BBC4 film Delius: Composer, Lover, Enigma by John Bridcut. Speakers include representatives from the Universities of Copenhagen, Cambridge and Durham, plus composer Anthony Payne and Dr Richard Chesser, head of music at the British Library.

There will also be live music performed by the winners of the 2011 Delius Performance Prize, and the first UK performance of the winning entry of the 2012 Delius International Composition Prize, Michael Djupstrom.

The symposium takes place on September 22 and 23. For more information click here.
