Compact disc seems to stress the unusual scoring in the Vivaldi G minor (there are recorders, oboes and a bassoon as well as strings), but it was too much to hope the two orchestras in the Vivaldi D major would be easier to tell apart; they're not, and how could they be. Lovely works, and I'll never breathe a word against Vivaldi again! Both soloists are splendid in the Bach.'
