Good to hear Souvenir de Florence played as chamber music, with finesse as well as passion. The finale feels like an integral conclusion, rather than a tacked-on ending. Remembered only for its Tchaikovsky-variations movement, Arensky’s A minor Quartet is a serious, even sombre, but rewarding work, well worth revival.'
