The proficient Czech choir sings plainsong with a cultivated, pleasing tone. The chant includes some selections from Prague manuscripts, and is worth hearing. The same cannot be said of the contemporary liturgical music inspired by it: modal-style melodies with organ accompaniment of a sort that has marred European worship since Vatican II.'
