If you want an hour or so of music ‘ever to seem falling asleep in a half dream’ here it is. Some may think that Heidi Grant Murphy overdoes the innocence but she certainly knows how to spin a long phrase and float a soft high-note. Again, some hard-boiled eggheads might object that the twilight hour is not quite bedtime, and that all those lullabies, rocking slowly, and practically going to sleep on their feet at the end, are like a diet of marshmallow. On the other hand, it would be a pity to miss Saint-Saens’s Le bonheur est chose legere, a rarity and beautifully sung.'
