An encouraging start to husband-and-wife Goldstone and Clemmow’s projected seven-disc Schubert duet cycle. Though the appropriately titled Grand Duo seems overly impulsive and occasionally blurred, there are compensations in the playful Rondo, sparkling German Dance with two trios (D618) and two F major Polonaises. Damp, occasionally cloudy acoustic.'
