Apart from its obvious historical interest, it is difficult to recommend this reissue to any but those die-hards who must have everything David Munrow ever recorded. The instrumental ensemble is disconcertingly patchy in places, tempos tend to drag, and the soloists are rather uneven. And speaking of patchiness, in Love’s goddess sure the composer himself is hardly on top form.'
