Six pretty but intellectually undemanding sonatas published in 1754 by Alessandro Besozzi, a leading oboist of his day famous for playing duets with his bassoonist brother, Girolamo. The harpsichord thus appears in only three of the sonatas on this disc, which are performed neatly and stylishly throughout on (I think) modern instruments. Nice, but in the end probably one for those with a special interest only.'
