The co-founder and Executive Chairman of HarrisonParrott reflects on the role of recording over the past half century

Jasper Parrott talks to Gramophone's James Jolly about the role of recording in an artist's professional and artistic life, and how it has changed during the 50 years that HarrisonParrott has been one of the world's leading artist management companies.

Founded in 1969, HP will be celebrating this major milestone with a day of concerts on Sunday, October 6 at London's SouthBank Centre. Artists performing include Alice Sara Ott, Jess Gillam, Vikingur Ólafsson, Andreas Scholl, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Barbara Hannigan, Alban Gerhardt, Ksenija Sidorova, Pierre-Laurent Aimard and many more, and the day culminates in a concert with the Philharmonia Orchrestra and four HarrisonParrott conductors, Paavo Järvi, Santtu-Matias Rouvali, Elim Chan and Vladimir Ashkenazy, an HP artist for the past 50 years.
