Applications are open for the English National Opera (ENO)'s Response journalism training scheme for the 2023-2024 season.

Run in partnership between the ENO and The Critics' Circle, ENO Response offers aspiring writers and critics the opportunity to review ENO productions, working with industry mentors to develop and hone their craft. 

For the 23/24 season, ENO is looking for 8-10 writers to accompany professional writers to the press nights of each of their 9 productions. They will meet and network with fellow ENO Response participants and journalists at the opening nights.

Alongside the mentoring sessions, participants will have the chance to take part in group masterclasses led by opera creatives, editors and critics in the industry. 

Writers over the age of 18 from across the UK are invited to apply. Deadline is Sunday 13 August.
