Yamaha has announced the second season of its popular Artist Insights podcast series in which leading players of Yamaha instruments discuss their lives in music.

Sure to prove both educational and inspiring to musicians of all abilities, Royal Academy graduate and broadcaster/presenter Phoebe Eley talks in turn to six very different artists about their own personal musical journeys, and their experiences along the way.

Series 2 features artists as diverse as trombonist Nils Landgren talking about playing with Abba in the 1980s, saxophonist Ellie Sax explaining how she took the instrument into house music and played at European super-clubs like Ministry of Sound, and Young French percussionist Adélaïde Ferrière on joining the Paris Conservatoire at just 15 years old.

As different as each journey is, the inspiration and joy that music brings to people’s lives emerge as common themes in discussions with all the featured artists.

“A life in music can create a world of opportunities and take people to places they never imagined” says of Yamaha Product Marketing Specialist Silvia De Angelis.

“The Artist Insights podcast series provides anyone already playing or interested in learning to play an instrument with a unique insight into how music has enriched the lives of a diverse group of players, and a chance to draw inspiration from their stories.”

The full line up for the six episodes in Series 2 features French percussionist Adélaïde Ferrière, international sax player Ellie Sax, versatile trombonist Nils Landgren, innovative tuba player Sergio Carolino, Scottish flautist Stephen Clark and Mercury-nominated tuba player Theon Cross.
