Exclusive filmed preview from the forthcoming Delphian album

Today's video comes from the Delphian label, and offers a beautifully-filmed insight into the sound world of Scottish composer Stuart MacRae. Called Ursa Minor, it's taken from the forthcoming fifth instalment in the Hebrides Ensemble's series of composer portraits, which captures MacRae 'perception of the natural world … from the microscopic scale of lichen to the vastness of the night sky, in which the medium of distance transmutes all turmoil into calm'.

The Hebrides Ensemble's album - which takes this work as its title - is released by Delphian on Friday. Click here for full details.
