Alec Roth's beautiful setting of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem

Today's film features Ex Cathedra, conducted by Jeffrey Skidmore, performing 'Snowflakes', by Alec Roth. Taken from A Time to Dance, premiered by the ensemble in 2012, this particular movement sets Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem Snowflakes, the American writer's moving meditation on the relationship between the wintry weather and the human heart.

There are many opportunities to see Ex Cathedra performing Christmas music throughout the UK over the coming weeks: for full details visit Ex Cathedra's website
