Director of Music at Coventry Cathedral Rachel Mahon performs Healey Willan's 'Introduction'

In today's (beautifully produced) video, Rachel Mahon, organist and Director of Music at Coventry Cathedral, performs Healey Willan's 'Introduction' on the instrument that she knows so well. 

Mahon's new album for Delphian featuring Canadian organ music was very highly praised by Gramophone's Marc Rochester in the March issue. Rochester wrote: ‘Healey Willan – dare one label him the “father” of modern Canadian organ music? – is represented by his grand, majestic Introduction, Passacaglia and Fugue, which might be said to be the one Canadian work that has found a place at the core of the recitalist’s repertory.
