The soprano discusses the role, ahead of her Edinburgh International Festival performance

Today's video features our 2020 Gramophone Young Artist of the Year, Welsh soprano Natalya Romaniw, talking about the role of Rusalka, which she's singing at this year's Edinburgh International Festival. The production of Dvořák’s opera is by Garsington Opera, conducted by Douglas Boyd, Garsington's Artistic Director, and will take place on August 6-9. Romaniw discusses what the opera - and indeed the Edinburgh International Festival itself! - means to her.
