Aria from Cantata BWV 40 taken from Gabrieli Consort & Players concert

Today's exclusive video from the Live from London Christmas festival, really reveals the diversity - and affirms the high live of music-making - on offer from the more than month-long online festival. It's an aria from Bach's Cantata BWV 40 - Höllische Schlange, wird dir nicht bange? - performed by bass-baritone Matthew Brook and the Gabrieli Consort & Players.

The performance is taken from a series of concerts by the ensemble - conducted by Paul McCreesh - of the music of Bach and Praetorius, being broadcast between Christmas Day and Epiphany. Find out more - including how to buy online tickets - here.
