Today’s Video of the Day comes from duo, Mars Smith with a performance of their new single, Fossá.

Fossá is inspired by the beautiful waterfall of the same name - one of the highest waterfalls on the Faroe Islands, and with the word literally meaning 'River with waterfalls'. The waterfalls in the video reflected, like the duo, a sense of completeness when together but also individuality, something that is experienced as a whole but consisting of two distinct elements. With this piece of music being semi-improvised and semi-composed, the piece, like the waterfall, is always familiar, but never the same.

Fossá is out now and will feature on Mars Smith's upcoming album Faroe Islands: Echoes on the Wind - out 26 July with VOCES8 Records.
