Cornwall's St Ives forms the backdrop for our Video of the Day: a project between violist Lawrence Power and film maker Jessie Rodger.

Many artists who have embraced the paradoxically inspiring yet fearful sea. Cornwall's St Ives was famously home of sculptor Barbara Hepworth and composer Priaulx Rainier, and now forms the backdrop for our Video of the Day: a project between violist Lawrence Power and film maker Jessie Rodger.

Power and Rodger have combined forces to form ÂME, a creative studio fusing live performance, cinematic projection and intricate, 360-degree sound design. An extension of their work is this video of Imitation of the Bells by Johann Paul von Westhoff (1656-1705) at the Fisherman's Chapel as day breaks in St Ives.

ÂME's boundary-defying concert experience, Fathom, will take to the South Bank Centre on Thursday 1 December, taking us on a journey far from the South Bank to a place where weather-beaten land meets awe inspiring sea. The concert will include projections filmed on the coast of North Cornwall and an immersive soundscape created by music producer Brett Cox.
