The percussionist showcases a new composition by Yazz Ahmed - part of a series of films published today by the Cambridge Music Festival

With Halloween fast approaching, we nod to the spooky season with today’s video of the day. The appropriately named Throw Your Pumpkin (& Pick Me Up) is composed by Yazz Ahmed and performed by Joby Burgess as part of A Percussionist's Songbook. Filmed at West Road Concert Hall earlier this year, this collection of nine songs pulls inspiration from a variety of sources including poetry, novels, folk tales and even UN population growth statistics.

Commissioned by Cambridge Music Festival, to celebrate its 30th anniversary, the films premiere today on the Festival’s YouTube channel and will be available until Sunday November 14.
