George Benjamin and Martin Crimp's new opera Lessons in Love and Violence will be premiered at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, on May 10 and will be performed six times between then and May 26. Their last opera, Written On Skin, was a huge success for Benjamin and Crimp, and the DVD recording won the Gramophone Contemporary Award in 2014.
