Nicolas Altstaedt offers his revealing insights into Dvořák's ‘Dumky’ Trio
Today's Video of the Day comes courtesy of Nicolas Altstaedt (edited by Miklos Vali and Altstaedt), whose new recording of Dvořák's Dumky Trio with Barnabás Kelemen and Nicolas Lonquich is released by Alpha Classics today. The album pairs the ‘Dumky’ Trio with Kodály's Duo for Violin and Violoncello, Op 7, and follows last year's Gramophone Award-winning album of Veress's String Trio and Bartók's Piano Quintet (read the review in Gramophone's Reviews Database).
