To celebrate Heinz Holliger's 80th birthday, ECM Records have released an album featuring Holliger both as oboist and conductor called 'Zwiegespräche'. It features Holliger's music interwoven with the music of György Kurtág.

In this video, Holliger talks about how his own music is different to that of his friend Kurtág's, and how this is revealed most clearly in the various ways that they respond to the same poem, Die Ros', by Angelus Silesius:
