A world-leading line-up of soloists discuss this choral masterpiece, ahead of Live from London's Easter broadcast
The Live from London Spring Festival will feature a special Easter broadcast of Bach's B Minor Mass, boasting a line-up of some of today's finest singers in this repertoire: soprano Carolyn Sampson, countertenor Iestyn Davies, tenor Jeremy Budd and bass-baritone Matthew Brook, along with the vocal ensemble VOCES8. They're joined by an equally impressive group of instrumentalists - the Academy of Ancient Music (with Rachel Podger as guest leader) - and the performance, recorded in London's historic church of St Bartholomew the Great, is conducted by Barnaby Smith.
Today's film features all four soloists, plus Rachel Podger, in a fascinating discussion with Barnaby Smith about what it's like to perform this choral masterpiece.

On Monday we also published a beautiful preview film of a duet from that performance, Et in unum Dominum, performed by Sampson and Davies, which you can watch here.
