NPR Music's Tiny Desk Concert series hosts one of the brightest piano talents of his generation

NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series on YouTube is an outstanding way to explore new music from all genres, and has hosted the likes of Iestyn Davies, Hilary Hahn and the Danish String Quartet in the past. The most recent instalment, however, is a captivating 15-minute recital by Gramophone's 2016 Artist of the Year Daniil Trifonov in which he plays Chopin’s Fantaisie-Impromptu, Op 66, and the Coda from the Variations on 'Là ci darem la mano', Schumann’s ‘Chopin. Agitato’ (from Carnaval) and Grieg’s Hommage à Chopin, Op 73, No 5.

Many of these pieces are included on Trifonov's 'Chopin Evocations' album (on DG), the review of which you can read in the Gramophone Reviews Database here.
