Doomin Kim started playing the piano at the age of 7 and within the first six months was able to play Czerny's Etudes. Now, at the age of 16, the young pianist has made his debut recording for no less a label than Warner Classics, who also have young pianists Martin James Bartlett and Eric Lu on their roster. He is currently studying at Paris’s École Normale de Musique with Michael Wladkowski.

Doomin Kim's album is devoted to the music of Mendelssohn, another child prodigy, and Warners have released this clip of him recording the Capriccio in F sharp minor:
