John La Bouchardière's Award-winning film is available to watch for free

I Fagiolini's impressive, innovative and entertaining films have long sought to take pieces of early music and to convey the story, humour and pathos within them through skilled camerawork, clever staging and impeccable acting. One recent film, by John La Bouchardière, took as its starting point La Chasse, a 1537 work by French composer Clément Janequin, about a stag hunt, complete with a virtuoso soundscape of hunting horns and galloping horses.

Having helped raise funds for wildlife charity Born Free, and after a successful run of international film festivals – including awards from as far and wide as Clermont Ferrand and LA – this quirky and brilliantly sung film is now available to enjoy entirely for free.

And below, you can find links to articles where you can learn more about I Fagiolini's films - and, of course, find more of them to watch. From a celebration of food to a Léo Ferré Chanson, there's much to enjoy.
