The Guildhall School of Music and Drama has unveiled an artwork by Martin Creed in the foyer of its new building, Milton Court. FEELINGS, commissioned by the School and developed in collaboration with Barbican Art Gallery, is a green neon sign, which rotates whilst also slowly rising up and down. Audiences attending events taking place in Milton Court will be able to experience the work from the public foyers. It is also visible from Silk Street, Milton Street and Barbican highwalk.

Milton Court is the Guildhall School’s new building which opens to the public in October. Designed to accommodate the growing size of the School, Milton Court will provide the students with a new concert hall, two theatres, three rehearsal rooms, and a TV studio suite. Milton Court Concert Hall will also host a year-round programme of classical and contemporary music presented by the Barbican and its two new associate ensembles – the Academy of Ancient Music and Britten Sinfonia – as well as Creative Learning, the Barbican’s joint outreach division with the School.
