Chelsea Flower Show garden celebrates music and education

After the RHS Chelsea Flower Show closes on Saturday, the garden will be donated to Groundwork, a charity that offers young people training and job opportunities (eleventenths).
Designed in three distinct sections, the garden features verdant woodland, a terrace of perennials and an oak and limestone pavilion (eleventenths).
‘In a garden, plants are placed thoughtfully and purposefully into a structure that evokes an emotional response. Music is no different. There’s rhythm, pacing, colour and volume in both gardening and music, and in my mind, there is much in common between the two,’ Beardshaw added (eleventenths).
‘I’ve often thought that designing and orchestrating a garden shares similarities with composing a piece of music, so when thinking about this garden, I was inspired by pieces from Mozart and Bach,’ Chris Beardshaw continued (eleventenths).

This year's Morgan Stanley Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show featured a collaboration between garden designer Chris Beardshaw, the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain (NYO) and its principal composer, 17-year-old Lauren Marshall.
