The works of neo-Modernist painter Carl Köhler (1919-2006) have been exhibited in a number of American and European locations in recent years, thanks to the efforts of his son, Henry. The Swedish artist had particular interests in dance and music, and painted a number of portraits of writers and composers. According to his son, he always worked in his Stockholm studio while classical music played at full volume on his ancient gramophone.
