Win a copy of John Neumeier’s tribute to Beethoven on DVD

Beethoven Project, John Neumeier’s choreographic homage to the composer born 250 years ago, is being released on March 13 on C Major.

Recorded last October at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, and danced by Hamburg Ballet and guest artists, the film comprises three parts: ‘Beethoven Fragments’, ‘Intermezzo’ and ‘Eroica’. Part 1 features a selection of chamber music: the Eroica Variations for Piano, Op 35; the Ghost Piano Trio, Op 70 No 1; the Piano Sonata, Op 10 No 3; and the String Quartet No 15, Op 132. Part 2 is danced to The Creatures of Prometheus, while Part 3 is choreographed to the complete Eroica Symphony. Various solo musicians are joined by the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern conducted by Simon Hewett.
