Malcolm Riley described Eoghan Desmond's Nothing in vain as a ‘beautifully affecting setting [which] grows organically layer by layer into a passionate plea for peace’ (Gramophone, August 2022), a view very much underlined by our Video of the Day: Chamber Choir Ireland's performance with conductor Eamonn Dougan, filmed in the Pepper Canister Church (St Stephen's), Dublin. 

This performance is an extract from a full concert by Chamber Choir Ireland called 'O Radiant Dawn', which features music by James MacMillan, Tallis, Byrd, Palestrina and Kim Porter, and is part of this year's LIVE From London Summer Festival.
