In our latest Gramophone Podcast, editor Martin Cullingford met with Decca's new soprano Julia Lezhneva to talk about her disc of Motets by Vivaldi, Porpora, Handel and Mozart. Entitled 'Alleluia', the recording is named as one of the Gramophone Choice releases in May issue.

'Julia Lezhneva fields a voice of bell-like purity, even throughout its compass, immaculately fluent in coloratura,' wrote reviewer Richard Wigmore (you can read the whole review here). Listen for yourself – the Podcast contains excerpts from the recording.
