Sony Music Entertainment has launched a new online classical music store – Ariama.com.
Currently only available for those living in North American, the site offers recordings from more than 50 labels – both major and independent – all available for download (MP3 and digital) and purchase as CDs.
As well as being able to search by artist and title, music can also be searched via categories such as composition, period and instrumentation.
“We are thrilled to announce the beta launch of Ariama.com,” said Thomas Hesse, president, Global Digital Business, US Sales, and Corporate Strategy, Sony Music Entertainment. "As a company that is home to one of the world’s richest classical music libraries, Sony Music understands the unique requirements of the classical music consumer, and we have tailored Ariama to meet them.”
Gramophone is pleased to be a partner of Ariama, and to mark the launch Gramophone readers in North America can receive 10 per cent off any purchase by using the code GRAM-DXPT (the offer expires on December 31, 2010). To visit the store click this link: Ariama.com.
