The New York Philharmonic and medici.tv have struck up a deal to stream the orchestra’s recent 'Philharmonic 360' performance for free and on demand for 90 days from this Friday July 6 (7pm UK time; 2pm New York time).
A co-presentation of the NY Phil and Park Avenue Armory, the event features ‘spatial music’ from composers as varied as Mozart, Ives and Boulez, plus New York’s first performance of Stockhausen’s Gruppen. Conducting duties are shared between music director Alan Gilbert, Magnus Lindberg and Matthias Pintscher.
The concert was filmed in the mammoth Wade Thompson Drill Hall of the Park Avenue Armory.
