This year marks a century-long recording relationship between the Berlin Philharmonic and Deutsche Grammophon. 

Beginning with a 1913 recording with Arthur Nikisch of Beethoven's Symphony No 5, the label link saw the rapport between the players and conductors including Furtwängler, Karajan and Abbado captured for posterity by the ‘Yellow Label’.

To mark the anniversary, DG is releasing a 50-CD box set in September of recordings with the Berlin Philharmonic. Its contents, however, are not yet decided, and the label is inviting listeners to help choose which tracks to include. 

Tracks from over 250 recordings – featuring more than 50 composers and 50 conductors – can be sampled at DG's website, and up to 20 votes per person cast – voting closes on May 6. For more information, and to vote, visit the voting page on the DG website.
