The Berliner Philharmoniker are offering visitors to their Digital Concert Hall the chance to watch and listen to Sir Simon Rattle conducting them in Haydn’s Symphony No 92, Oxford. The symphony was recorded in concert in the BPO’s home, the Philharmonie, on November 1, 2008. Visitors need to register with the DCH but will not have to pay anything. The concert will be available to view until at least June.

The next concert to be shown at the Digital Concert Hall will be Bach’s St Matthew Passion with singers Camilla Tilling, Magdalena Kozena, Topi Lehtipuu, Mark Padmore, Thomas Quasthoff and Christian Gerhaher (the same line-up heard when Rattle performed the work last week in Birmngham), the Rundfunk Chor and children from the Staats- und Domchors, Berlin. It can be watched live at 7pm (CET) on Sunday, April 11. A single ticket costs Euro 9.90.
