Rosenblatt Recitals has signed a deal with Sky Arts to screen the first four concerts of the 2012-13 season in 2013. The London opera recital series will move to its new home at the Wigmore Hall this season, with the first recital – featuring American tenor Lawrence Brownlee – filmed on September 24. Sky Arts will also film tenor Joel Prieto (October 22), soprano Dimitra Theodossiou (November 12) and tenor Fabio Armiliato (January 14, 2013), all for broadcast next year.

Founded in 2000 by Ian Rosenblatt, Rosenblatt Recitals presents leading opera singers from around the world in intimate London recitals. Among those who have appeared in the series are Joseph Calleja, Anna Caterina Antonacci, and Juan Diego Flórez. The series also seeks to promote up-and-coming vocal talent and has presented London recital debuts for many singers who have gone on to take leading operatic roles on the London stage.

‘To be invited to move to Wigmore Hall is very prestigious, and then to get the attention of a broadcaster of Sky’s reputation is something we are really excited about,’ said Rosenblatt.
