The London Mozart Players are launching their 2013-14 season with a new, informal concert format, to be held at their resident venue, Fairfield Halls in Croydon. Two ‘Get in to Classical Music’ concerts will accompany the main season of performances, designed as a bite-size introduction to classical music for new, younger and more diverse audiences.

Conducted by LMP associate conductor Hilary Davan Wetton, the welcoming, hour-long events will allow audiences to get inside a symphony ahead of a performance during the main concert season. A question and answer session with the conductor and step-by-step guidance begin the events, before a full run-through of the piece.

The two ‘Get in’ events take place on September 25, 2013 – Mozart’s Symphony No 40 – and October 22, 2013 – Vaughn Williams’s Symphony No 5.
