Every January the music business gathers at the Midem conference in Cannes, in the South of France.

In a special podcast, Gramophone Editor-in-Chief James Jolly meets some of the label heads to find out about their latest plans and projects, and to discuss their views on what the future holds for classical recording.

Interviews include: Klaus Heymann of Naxos, Didier Martin of Naïve Classique, Jared Sacks from Channel Classics, Jeremy Elliott of Retrospective Recordings, Pieter van Winkel of Piano Classics, and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra's general manager John Kieser.

Listen below, or on the Gramophone Player, at our YouTube Channel - or download the Podcast for free from iTunes (search for 'Gramophone Magazine' in the iTunes store).
