Announcing the new members of Gramophone's Hall of Fame, as voted for by our readers

Launched in 2012, Gramophone’s Hall of Fame celebrates the people who have most shaped the classical music recording industry. Every year Gramophone's readers vote for the people they would like to see honoured in the Hall of Fame, and this year we saw some true legends of classical recording take their place.

You can explore the complete Hall of Fame on the Artists page of this website. This years new inductees include: violinists Kyung Wha Chung, Arthur Grumiaux, Fritz Kreisler, Gidon Kremer and Nathan Milstein, singers Jonas Kaufmann, Kirsten Flagstad and Victoria de los Ángeles, and conductors Fritz Reiner and Leopold Stokowski.

Go to the Artists page to read biographies and tributes, and to watch videos and listen to recommended recordings of each artist.
