Beautiful new film of the second movement of Glass's 'American Four Seasons'

On Monday, June 1, Gidon Kremer's new album – 'New Seasons' – with the Kremerata Baltica will be released by Deutsche Grammophon. The album consists of Philip Glass's Violin Concerto No 2, The American Four Seasons, Arvo Pärt's Estonian Lullaby, Giya Kancheli's Ex contrario and Shigeru Umebayashi's Yumeji's Theme.

Four visual artists and film-makers have been commissioned to produce films that reflect each movement of Glass's Violin Concerto No 2 and we are delighted to be able to reveal below – in a world exclusive – Rimas Sakalauskas's beautiful film inspired by the second movement, accompanied by Gidon Kremer's new recording.

The film is hosted by Vevo.com and so will only be viewable in territories in which Vevo is available.
