Ennio Morricone's most famous works will be performed in special concerts in Edinburgh, Manchester, London and Birmingham
Ennio Morricone's hugely influential and highly distinctive music will be performed as part of a UK-wide tour by Italy's Ensemble Symphony Orchestra (ESO) and conductor Giacomo Loprieno in March, featuring concerts at Queen's Hall in Edinburgh (March 2), Cadogan Hall in London (March 3), Stoller Hall in Manchester (March 4) and Birmingham Town Hall (March 5). The tour is presented by Soho Live.
The concerts offer a truly immersive experience, featuring actor and director Andrea Bartolomeo as a narrator to set the scene for each musical sequence. The concerts will include music from films such as Once Upon a Time in the West, Cinema Paradiso, The Hateful Eight, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, The Mission, and much more.
The orchestra will be joined for these concerts by soprano Anna Delfino and violinist Atilla Simon, and together they will shine new light on many of Morricone's most famous works, as well as some lesser-known gems.
