On Saturday 21 October 2023, Dutch organist and musicologist, Pieter Dirksen will lead a Study Day on The Art of Fugue BWV 1080 by JS Bach at Trinity College, Cambridge. The event is being run by the Cambridge Academy of Organ Studies. 

The Day will run as follows:

13.00-15.00 Complete performance on the organ of Trinity College, Cambridge (by kind permission of the Master and Fellows) The performers will be organ scholars and graduate students at the University of Cambridge under the guidance of Pieter Dirksen who will also take part in the performance. 

15.30-17.00 Discussion of matters of performance, the Art of Fugue’s place in Bach's works and completions of the final fugue with Pieter Dirksen and Professor Paul Binski.

£35 (Cambridge students free, other students in full-time education £20)
