James Orford joins the Cathedral from his post at St Paul's Knightsbridge
St Paul’s Cathedral has announced the appointment of James Orford as its new Organist, from September 2024. Orford will join the Cathedral from St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, where he is Organist and Assistant Director of Music. He has previously held organ scholarships at St Paul’s Cathedral as well as Truro Cathedral, the Royal Hospital Chelsea, and King’s College, London.
Orford succeeds William Fox, the Cathedral’s current organist, in September 2024, when Fox moves to become the new Director of Music at St Albans Cathedral.
